[Part 05] SHE SIGNED THE DIVORCE PAPERS WITHOUT A WORD…

The Moment He Lost Everything

The room felt smaller now.

Like the walls were closing in.

Diego looked at Isabella.

Not with arrogance.

Not with contempt.

But with something unfamiliar.

Desperation.

“Isabella…” he said.

Her name sounded different now.

Weaker.

“We can fix this,” he continued quickly. “This doesn’t have to go this way. We can—”

“No,” she said softly.

One word.

But final.

“You made your decision,” she added.

Diego stepped forward.

“Please—”

“Stop,” Alejandro said calmly.

And just like that—

Diego stopped.

Because power recognizes power.

And he had none left.

“You offered her money,” Alejandro continued.

“Two hundred thousand pesos.”

A pause.

“Let me show you what real value looks like.”

He turned slightly.

And the conference room doors opened.

Three people walked in.

Executives.

Serious.

Focused.

“Isabella Mendoza,” one of them said.

“Your position as Executive Director has been prepared. The board is ready.”

Diego blinked.

“What…?”

Isabella didn’t react.

Because she already knew.

“You built that company,” Alejandro said quietly.

“You deserve to lead something greater.”

Diego staggered slightly.

“You’re replacing me?” he asked.

Alejandro looked at him.

“No.”

A pause.

“You replaced yourself.”

Silence.

Heavy.

Permanent.

Diego Ramirez—

The man who thought he had everything—

Stood there…

With nothing.

And Isabella—

The woman he called “dull”—

Walked past him…

Without looking back.
