[ Part02] My son ab:used me for years, right in front of his wife and child… and they even cheered him on with applause.

The Door That Shouldn’t Have Opened

Nobody spoke.

Not after what Camila said.

“He said… they stopped it.”

Those words didn’t just sit in the air.

They spread.

Like something alive.

Her mother’s hands trembled as she clutched the documents tighter, scanning the pages again and again—as if the truth might change if she read it differently.

“It doesn’t make sense…” she whispered. “These reports… they’re not the same. Dates are wrong. Signatures—these aren’t even from the same doctor.”

Grandma stepped closer, her face pale but steady.

“Let me see.”

The papers passed between them.

Eyes narrowing.

Breathing slowing.

Understanding forming.

And then—

A sound.

Behind them.

From the house.

A door.

Opening.

Slowly.

Creaking.

Everyone turned.

At once.

The back door.

The one leading into the kitchen.

It hadn’t been opened in hours.

Nobody had gone inside.

Everyone was outside.

Together.

Watching.

Waiting.

But now—

It stood open.

Just enough to notice.

Not enough to ignore.

“Who’s inside?” one of the men whispered.

No answer.

Because no one was inside.

Or at least—

No one should have been.

Camila stepped forward.

Her small hand reaching out—

Not toward the shed.

Not toward her mother.

But toward the house.

“He’s not finished,” she said softly.

Her voice didn’t shake.

Didn’t break.

Didn’t belong to fear.

It belonged to certainty.

And that was worse.

“Camila, stop,” her mother said quickly, grabbing her wrist. “We’re not going back in there.”

But Camila didn’t resist.

She just looked up.

Eyes calm.

Too calm.

“He said we’re running out of time.”

Silence.

Then—

Footsteps.

From inside.

Soft.

Measured.

Not rushed.

Not chaotic.

Deliberate.

Someone was walking.

Inside the house.

Grandma’s grip tightened on the papers.

“No one moves,” she said firmly.

But it was already too late.

Because Camila…

Had started walking.

Toward the open door.

And something inside that house…

Was waiting.
